Evidence of Mercy

Evidence of Mercy (Sun Coast Chronicles, #1)Loved this one by Terri Blackstock!

Jake is self-assured, financially secure, confident with the ladies, and he takes pride in his red Porsche. An airline pilot, he knows there is just one thing he needs;

“…he tried to concentrate on the new toy he was going to buy – a Piper Arrow PA 28.   Just what he needed to make life complete.

Once he had it, he would finally have everything he wanted.”

Lynda is selling her most treasured possession, a Piper Arrow PA 28, in order to meet her father’s debts that she inherited.

What neither of them knows is that there is someone out to get Lynda… someone who has his own fish to fry; someone who will stop at nothing – including sabotaging airplanes – to get Lynda Barrett out of the way.

Can people change? Can someone like Jake, hiding his background behind a comfortable lifestyle, really become a different person? what would it take?

Even though Jake is sarcastic and self-seeking, I found his character as written to be so well done and was rooting for him throughout the book!

When Lynda and Jake take her plane up for a test ride, and they suddenly find the landing gear won’t work, the reader finds themselves on edge to see who will survive, (if either), whether the culprit who compromised the plane will be caught, and what else is in store for this tragic couple who met for the first time on an airfield; one to make a purchase, the other hoping to get her financial difficulties solved.

Terri Blackstock has written a –seat-of-your-pants gripping suspenseful novel that keeps the reader guessing right up to the end.

About Theresa

I live in an old farmhouse in upstate New York (no, *not* the big city!) in the country with my family, two dogs, two calves, and two horses. I love to cross stitch, quilt, read, and look at needlework blogs :) and I love coffee *and* tea!
